Brigette Feltus, more commonly known as Brig Feltus, is an American rock singer. She was born and raised in Compton, California and now resides in Los Angeles. Feltus lists as her musical influences Björk, Billie Holiday, Sinéad O'Connor, Stevie Wonder, Jeff Buckley, Nina Simone, Alanis Morissette, Jimi Hendrix, Rickie Lee Jones, Maria Muldaur, and Janis Joplin. In terms of eras, she is drawn to the jazz music of the 1930s, 1940s, and early 1950s, and the folk, soul and rock genres of the 1960s and 1970s. Speaking of her style, Feltus says, "I sing you the song as if I were telling you my story in your kitchen and you were my best friend. At other times I sing it as if you're not even there, as if no one's watching."
